Lyon County American Legion Post 68 now knows its first round opponent in the Great Lakes Regional Tournament in Charleston, Ill. next week.
The Post 68 Aces will take on Pennsylvania state runner-up, Hempfield East Post 981, in the first game of the regional at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Hempfield East fell in the Pennsylvania championship game 2-1 to Swoyersville earlier this week.
Hempfield East is 26-6 on the season while Lyon County, the Kentucky state champion, carries a 15-5-1 record into the Great Lakes Regional, which will be played on the campus of Eastern Illinois University.
Post 68 won its state championship last weekend in Eddyville, beating Owensboro in the title game.
