Two goals by Tyler Greenwell was just enough for Hopkinsville as they went on the road and came away with a 2-1 win at Murray Thursday.
Greenwell’s first goal came just over six minutes in on a steal and breakaway. Following a foul, Greenwell banged home a penalty kick with 11:35 left for a 2-0 Hopkinsville lead.
Chase Renick got Murray on the board just before halftime to cut the deficit to 2-1.
Manny Martinez notched six of his eight saves in the second half for Hoptown as Murray outshot the visitors 8-4 in the second half.
Hopkinsville (2-1) will host Daviess County Saturday at 11:30 for their annual alumni day contest.
