Lyon County’s girls picked up their first win of the season on Thursday in Eddyville, getting a hat trick from Rose Smith while edging Owensboro 6-5.
The Lady Lyons (1-1) also got two goals and an assist from Sydney Hoffman.
Bailey Guess scored the other goal for Lyon while Emily Smith had an assist.
Goalkeeper Abby Smith recorded 16 saves in the contest.
The Owensboro Lady Devils are now 0-2.
The Lady Lyons had opened their season on Tuesday by suffering a 3-2 setback to Hopkins County Central.
Lyon’s girls play again on Friday, visiting Crittenden County for a 5th District date.
