Caldwell County assistant football coach Jeff Riley says the passing of head coach David Barnes is a huge loss for the community and not just the football program.
Barnes, who had battled Parkinson’s disease since 2017, died Saturday morning.
Riley spoke following a team meeting Saturday afternoon at the fieldhouse at Tiger Stadium in Princeton.
