Heritage Christian Academy used a strong service game to beat Clarksville Northwest in straight sets 3-0 (25-18, 29-27, 25-21) Tuesday in Clarksville.
The Lady Warriors converted 95-percent of their serves (73-of-77) with Allie Boyd and Lexie Crisp coming through with five aces each.
Allie Schluckebier and Meredith Crunk each had six kills off the setting of Emma Kirkham, who tallied 20 assists. Ashton Craft contributed seven digs to the winning effort.
“We’ve struggled in the past to maintain the mental discipline it takes to push through close sets and come away with the victory,” said HCA Coach Eldridge Rogers. “The girls grew in their mental toughness tonight by making plays when they needed to.”
Heritage Christian improved to 5-2 on the season and will host South Haven, Tenn. Thursday at Warrior Gym.
