The Christian County girls’ soccer team ran into a buzz saw Tuesday night in the form of the visiting Calloway County Lady Lakers (2-1), with the Lady Colonels slipping to 0-2 on the year after an 11-1 setback at the Stadium of Champions.
The Lady Lakers took an 8-0 advantage into the halftime break, before the Lady Colonels got a goal back in the second half when Alexus Hendrix scored off an assist from Jasmine Larkins. However, Calloway kept up the pressure and after 3 second-half strikes the game ended with 27:03 left on the clock.
Christian County will be back on the field on Saturday to host the Logan County Lady Cougars (0-1).
