Goals were hard to come by Wednesday night at the Stadium of Champions, with the UHA and Hopkinsville girls’ soccer teams playing 60 scoreless minutes with no breakthrough in sight. Enter the Lady Blazers’ Molly Bennett, who found herself in a little bit of space 30 yards from goal and decided to take her chance, finding the top right corner of the goal and sending UHA past the Lady Tigers 1-0.
After the game, Bennett talked about her long-range strike and what an early season win over their district rivals can do for the Lady Blazers going forward.
