Lady Warriors Drop Weekend Volleyball Contests

8-26-crisp

Heritage Christian Academy picked up a pair of losses against quality competition over the weekend as their season record dropped to 6-4.

On Friday, HCA struggled with their serve receive game and fell at Bowling Green Christian Academy 28-26, 25-5, 25-23.

HCA had the same issue Saturday at Franklin Road Christian School in Murfreesboro, falling 25-20, 25-13, 24-26, 16-25, 15-17.

“The girls played hard, and they never gave up,” said Coach Brad Boyd. “The one thing we’re missing as a team is the mental discipline needed to win those hard fought matches against a quality opponent. As we progress through the season, the girls are going to have to decide whether or not they want to do what it takes to win or be okay with losses against quality teams. I know they’ll choose to fight.”

Emma Kirkman had 16 assists, and Allie Schluckebier had 10 kills for the Lady Warriors.

HCA returns to the court Tuesday at Kenwood.
