Hopkinsville junior Chase Atkins got his cross country season off to a strong start Saturday with a 13th place finish at the St. Xavier Tiger Run at Champions Park.
Atkins completed the 3.1-mile course in a time of 16:34, capturing a top 15 finish out of over 300 runners.
Zlatko Skuljan (20:19) finished 222nd, followed by Zachary Gugle (21:47) in 261st, and Jonathan Quincey (22:42) in 270th place.
In the girls’ race, sophomore Allison Wood brought home a 42nd place finish in a time of 21:16. There were 238 runners in the race.
Freshman Eva Blankenberger finished 146th in a time of 24:42.
