Christian County needed four sets to pick up their first district volleyball win of the season, knocking off Fort Campbell 25-20, 25-19, 22-25, 25-10 Thursday on post.
The first set was close early until the Lady Colonels built a 22-11 lead. Fort Campbell used an 8-1 run to pull to within 23-19 before the Lady Colonels closed out the set.
In the second set, Macy Baker served eight straight winners as Christian County again opened up a big lead at 15-8. The Lady Colonels closed out the set for the 25-19 win.
Fort Campbell controlled the third set and kept the match alive with a 25-22 win, but Christian County jumped out to a 16-6 lead in the fourth set and went on for the 25-10 win.
The Lady Falcons fell to 0-5 on the year and will look for their first win Tuesday at Trigg County.
Christian County (3-4) will travel to Hopkins County Central Tuesday.
