For one set Thursday evening, it looked like the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers might be on their way to pulling an upset in their road trip to Henderson County. However, after dropping the opening set, the Lady Colonels came storming back to sweep the next three and take their match with Hopkinsville 3-1.
The night started off well for the Lady Tigers. After battling through a tough opening set, Hopkinsville found a way to put it out at the end, taking the set 28-26. The second set was another tough battle, but this time, it was Henderson County taking it 25-20.
From that point on, the match was all Lady Colonels. Henderson won the third set 25-12 and then closed out the match cruising through the fourth set 25-13.
Alyssa Bearns had another big night for Hoptown with seven kills. Hope Pace had four kills, six blocks and one ace. Savannah Peck contributed 15 assists in the match. Shelby Isenhoff added three kills, 5 digs, and one ace.
Hoptown now drops to 3-7 on the season. They return to the court Tuesday evening at Hopkins Central.
