The Fort Campbell Lady Falcons ventured across the border Wednesday night and fell for the sixth match in a row. West Creek came away with the win in straight sets 25-17, 25-18, and 25-12.
The first set was competitive through out. The Lady Falcon were leading 5-4, when West Creek scored 8 of the next 12 points to take a 12-9 lead, a lead which they would not give back for the rest of the set. West Creek would go on to win the opening set 25-17.
West Creek took control of things a bit earlier in the second set, scoring the first four points of the set to take a 4-0 lead. The lead would grow to 13-3 as they reached the halfway mark of the set. Leading 15-10 in the set, West Creek put the set away with an 8-0 run to go up 23-10. Fort Campbell made a late run to get the final margin to 25-18, as West Creek went up 2-0 in the match.
The third set began as if the Lady Falcons were going to fighg their way back into the match. Fort Campbell scored the first five points to go up 5-0. However, West Creek responded with the next 13 points to take full control of the match with a 13-5 lead, as they rolled on to take the set and close out the match with a 25-13 win.
The loss drops the Lady Falcons to 2-10 on the season. They return to action on September 16, back on the south side of the border, when they take on Clarksville Northwest.
