Lady Blazers Ace Trigg Match in Straight Sets

University Heights Academy grabbed a straight set win over Trigg County Tuesday, running their winning streak to four straight games since their loss in the All-A Classic Region Championship. UHA won 25-10, 25-6, 25-10 behind a strong service night.

Evelyn Morales had eight of UHA’s 15 aces in the match, with Lily Hendricks adding three.

Katie Beth Stevens had 11 kills for the Lady Blazers at the net and added a pair of aces.  Meghan Adams had eight kills, and Morales had five. Beth Peebles was solid in the setting game with 26 assists.

Trigg County could piece together consecutive points just four times in the match.

Iyanna Grubbs had four kills for the Lady Wildcats, who still lead the all-time series with UHA 9-7.

The Lady Wildcats (0-15) will look for their first win of the season Thursday against district rival Livingston Central in Smithland.

UHA (10-2) looks to remain unbeaten in the district Thursday when they travel across town to Hopkinsville.
