Allison Wood brought home another top-10 finish for the Hopkinsville girls’ cross country team Saturday, taking ninth place at the Gatorland Classic in Bowling Green.
The Hoptown sophomore finished in ninth place with a time of 20:45 over the 3.1-mile course. Bowling Green’s Lexie Paszkiewicz won the race with a time of 19:53.
Eva Blankenberger finished 72nd (24:19), followed across the finish line by Chloe Palacios (84th, 24:51); Jessie Creamer (175th, 33:46); Hailey Cordero (182nd, 38:27); and Natalie Frost (183rd, 38:42).
As a team, Hopkinsville finished in 15th place with 347 points.
In the middle school race, Rebecca Wood was Hoptown’s top runner with a 20th place finish.
