A slow start cost Christian County in a straight set loss at Bowling Green Tuesday. The Lady Colonels fell 25-8, 25-12, 25-16.
It was Christian County’s second loss to Bowling Green this season after a straight set loss at the wRECk at the Plex Sept. 7. The Lady Colonels dropped to 0-4 against Fourth Region opponents this season.
Macy Baker led the Lady Colonels effort with 5 kills. Lindsie Oden added 5 kills and an ace. Lanie Bivins finished with three aces and two blocks. Paris Buckner had two blocks. Jaquavia Bailey finished the match with 1 kill and 1 ace.
The Lady Colonels are fifth in the region in the experimental RPI Index released last week. They are .006 points ahead of Hopkinsville, who they will see twice in the next two weeks. Christian County (8-12) will host Hopkinsville (4-9) Thursday in their annual ‘Dig Pink’ game at Lyle Dunbar Gymnasium.
