The Fort Campbell Falcons ran into a bit of a buzz saw Thursday night. The Falcons made the road trip to Murray and returned to post with an 8-0 loss at the hands of the Tigers.
While the loss was a shutout loss, it could have been worse in the match for the Falcons if not for the play of goalie Marcus Hay. Hay finished the night with a total of 15 saves, as the Tiger offense kept the pressure coming against the Falcons over the duration of the match.
The loss, which was the 5th straight for the Falcons, drops Fort Campbell to 4-12-1 on the season. It marked the third time in the last four games that the Falcons had been held without a goal.
The win was the third in a row for Murray, and the 7th in their last nine matches.
