The Todd County Central Rebels have been close several times this season to adding to the win column. Such was the case again Thursday night.
The Rebels were at home hosting Franklin-Simpson in a 13th District contest. After losing to the Wildcats 5-1 just ten days earlier, the Rebels fought their way into a tight battle this time around.
Franklin-Simpson would hold on to pick up the 2-1 win, handing the Rebels their second straight loss.
Todd County Central falls to 1-12-2 on the season, and 0-6 in district play. The Rebels will be the #4 seed in the 13th District tournament and square off against top seed Logan County.
Franklin-Simpson and Russellville are now both 3-3 in district play, and will meet each other in the 13th District semifinals.
