If the KHSAA RPI ratings that were released Monday morning are any “true” indication, the toughest district in Class 2A could well be District 1. The ratings place three of the teams in the district, Caldwell County, Mayfield, and Murray, in the top seven slots in Class 2A.
Mayfield (5-1) comes in at #2 in Class 2A with an RPI of 0.741.
Caldwell County (5-1) is the #6 ranked team with an RPI of 0.694.
Murray (4-1) came in at # 7 with an RPI of 0.693.
The RPI rankings were not as kind to the Todd County Central Rebels. The Rebels, who are 5-1 after Friday night’s loss to #4 Owensboro Catholic, come in at #15.
The Fort Campbell Falcons, who are now 0-6 after Friday’s loss to Mayfield, come in at #30 in the rankings.
