The Lyon County Lyons struggles with teams out of the first region continued Monday evening. The Lyons traveled to Mayfield and fell to the Cardinals 9-0. The loss was the 9th in a row against teams from the 1st Region. The last win for the Lyons over a 1st Region team came over Ballard Memorial in October 2017.
The loss, which was Lyon County’s third straight, drops the Lyons to 2-14-2 on the season.
Lyon County will wrap up the regular season Tuesday night when they host Fort Campbell. The Lyons will then play Trigg County in the 5th District championship game next week.
