
The Fort Campbell girls’ soccer team will enter postseason play on a three-game winning streak after knocking-off visiting Trigg County 2-0 on Tuesday at Fryar Stadium.
The Lady Falcons were on the board inside the first minute on a goal by Lindsay Molinelli and led 1-0 at halftime.
Fort Campbell’s Kaitlyn Cervantes sealed the victory with 14:46 to play when she found the back of the net from 30 yards, giving the Lady Falcons their eleventh win of the season.
Angel Manalang had 6 saves in goal to record her third shutout of the season.
Trigg County slips to 8-9 and will host Hopkinsville on Thursday in the regular-season finale. The top-seeded Lady Wildcats await the winner of Lyon County and Crittenden County and will host the 5th-District title game on Tuesday.
Fort Campbell owns the 3rd seed in the 8th-District tournament and will face 2nd-seeded Hopkinsville in the semifinals.
