With just two golfers finishing the day under par, it’s an understatement to say that the course at Bowling Green County Club presented a challenge in Friday’s first round of the KHSAA State Golf Tournament.  One of the golfers battling through his first appearance at the state tournament was University Heights Academy junior Jiles Wyatt.

Wyatt posted a +13 85, with a 42 on the front and a 43 on the back.  He started strong with pars on four of the first six holes, but stumbled with back-to-back double-bogeys on the ninth and tenth holes.  Wyatt birdied number 14 to go along with seven pars, seven bogeys and three double-bogeys.

Here are some photos from Wyatt’s debut at the state tournament.
