Hopkinsville advanced in the boys’ 2nd Region soccer tournament on Wednesday with a 1-0 victory over Hopkins County Central.

However, Hoptown head coach Tyler Stallons said his squad had difficulty creating quality scoring opportunities against a defensive-minded Hopkins Central.

Hopkinsville will take on Henderson County in Thursday night’s semifinals.
