In a move to help move their cross country program forward, Heritage Christian Academy hosted their first meet Thursday at the former Novadell Golf Course south of Hopkinsville.
HCA hosted Fort Campbell and University Heights Academy in the varsity races and Saints Peter and Paul in the elementary races.
Aiyana McDonald won the girls’ varsity race with a time of 25:06, edging Fort Campbell’s Marielle Del Pilar for the win.
UHA’s Tomas Duncan coasted to the win in the boys’ varsity race in 16:47, with his brother Tobias taking second place. UHA’s runners finished in the first five places to sweep the team title.
Logan Miller of UHA won the boys’ middle school race (8:55), with Jude Finch winning the boys’ 4-6 grade race (8:23), and Garrett Bowling (8:26) winning the boys’ 1-3 grade race.
Heritage Christian Academy will compete at the North Hardin Christian Invitational Saturday, while both UHA and Fort Campbell will run at their respective region meets Saturday at Marshall County High School.
