After going into their bye week off a close loss to Madisonville-North Hopkins, the Hopkinsville Tigers came into Friday night’s game at Hopkins County Central looking to make a statement.
It didn’t take long, with the Tigers taking a 29-0 lead after the first quarter and the defense holding the Storm scoreless until late in the fourth quarter of a 55-13 blowout.
Afterward, senior Jaxon Davis, the team’s second-leading tackler, said the Tigers were prepared physically for the Storm and are done fooling around with a regular-season finale with Paducah Tilghman looming.
