Down two sets to none in the region tournament quarterfinals, Todd County Central could have closed shop and began to look ahead to 2020. However, senior Brylee Shemwell sparked a comeback with three aces and took Clinton County to the brink before falling in three.
Shemwell moved to setter early in the season, and the Lady Rebels adjusted well. Their 14 wins in 2019 were the most for Todd County in eight seasons. She talked about her senior season and the path that was cleared for the program’s future.
