Emma Talley shot a 1-under par 71 in round six of the LPGA Q-Series on Thursday.

She is now 4-under for the event and in a tie for 17th place.

Talley, a three-time state champion at Caldwell County High School and a national champion at the University of Alabama, had five birdies on Pinehurst No. 9 Thursday but also had four bogeys. Starting on the back nine, Talley shot a 3-under 33 on that side. However, she carded a 2-over 38 on the front nine.

Two players have separated themselves from the rest of the field at LPGA Q-Series, as Muni He (Chengdu, China) and Hee Young Park (Seoul, Republic of Korea) have now gone 37 and 43 consecutive holes without a bogey, respectively.

He used a 2-under par 70 in the sixth round this afternoon on Pinehurst Course No. 9 to get to 18-under overall. That total is good for a two-stroke advantage over Park through 108 holes and leaves her as the only player so far to shoot under par in each round.

As for Park, since the transition to the Jack Nicklaus-designed course she has went 11-under par. That includes a streak of no bogeys since the par-5 2nd in the fourth round on Pinehurst Course No. 6, which was her 11th hole last Saturday.

Round seven is Friday in Pinehurst, N.C.  Talley will tee off at 8:40 a.m. Central time.

The final round is Saturday.

The top 45 earn a spot on the LPGA Tour next season.
