The Hopkinsville Tigers and Madisonville-North Hopkins faced off at the Stadium of Champions on Saturday in a rematch of a 20-18 Maroon victory on October 11, with Madisonville once again prevailing 28-21 in a back-and-forth 4A District 1 title game.
In a duel of senior quarterbacks, Hoptown’s Jay Bland threw for over 200 yards and ran for three touchdowns, while Madisonville’s Hayden Reynolds passed for 152 yards and a touchdown and rushed for another. After a slow start, running back Jeriah Hightower churned out 172 yards and two scores on the ground.
