Christian County continues to gear up for the start of the high school girls’ basketball season as they traveled to Elizabethtown Saturday and fell to Rowan County 45-39 in a four-quarter scrimmage.
The Lady Colonels dropped the first quarter but won the second and fourth quarters by small margins. The third quarter ended in a tie.
Trinity McGee had eight points, six steals, and five rebounds, and Mikayah Killebrew added seven points and four rebounds.
Rowan County was 21-11 last year and returns five of their top seven scorers.
Christian County opens their season Tuesday, Dec. 3 at Muhlenberg County.
