Rebel Rally Falls Short in Loss to Whitesville Trinity

Todd County Central fell behind by as many as 16 points in the second half and mounted a big fourth quarter rally before falling one point short to Whitesville Trinity 57-56 Saturday in Elkton.

The Raiders led 28-24 at halftime and used a 15-5 third quarter run to take a 43-29 lead into the fourth quarter.  Austin Rager scored 13 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter, and Kimhari Briggs added a pair of buckets to get the Rebels back to within a point late.

Todd County hit 9-of-15 free throws in the game, while Trinity hit 9-of-14 at the line in the fourth quarter to stave off the Rebel rally.

In addition to Rager’s 15 points, Deonte Toliver scored 10 to join him in double figures.

Todd County Central returns to action Monday when they host South Warren at Rebel Gym.
