Caldwell County never trailed in picking up its second win three nights.
The Tigers pulled away in the fourth quarter to deal Dawson Springs a 75-50 setback Thursday night at Panther Gym.
Caldwell (2-5 overall, 1-0 7th District) used its full-court pressure to build a big lead early.
The Tigers led 27-14 after one quarter.
However, Dawson (3-5, 1-1) got back in the game in the second period and trailed just 37-30 at the break.
The Panthers got as close as 39-35 in the third quarter before Caldwell extended the margin to 49-40 entering the final frame.
The Tigers then outscored the Panthers 26-10 in the final frame to open up the 25-point margin.
Caldwell has had Dawson’s number much of the last decade, The Tigers have won 21 of the last 22 meetings between the two teams.
Tripp Branch scored 15 points to lead a balanced Caldwell scoring attack on Thursday. Adarius Riley and Jamarius Blaine each had 11 points while Cayden Fraliex had 10.
The Tigers also got nine points from Jabrion Spikes, eight from Cole Smiley and seven from Jude East.
For Dawson, Skyler Clark had 14 points and Landon Pace netted 12.
While it was the second-straight win for Caldwell, it was the second-straight loss for Dawson, which fell 68-60 at McLean County on Tuesday.
Caldwell will play again on Friday when it hosts Russellville.
Dawson Springs is at home Saturday afternoon against Ballard Memorial while Caldwell visits Union County Saturday afternoon.
