Madisonville cruised to an 81-30 win over Adair County in the opening game of the Russellville Food Bank Classic Thursday. The 51-point win is the largest by a Madisonville team since a 67-12 win over Dawson Springs in 2013, while the 81 points scored is the most by a Lady Maroon team since an 81-35 win over Hopkins County Central in 2011.
The Lady Maroons had 12 players reach the scorebook, led by Courtney Peyton’s 19 points. Camryn LaGrange and Lindsey Peyton both scored 12 points.
Adair County (0-9) got 15 points from Jadie Smith.
Madisonville (6-0) will play the winner of Friday’s Apollo/Clarksville Northeast game Saturday at noon.
