Calloway County’s Charlee Settle put up a double-double and the Lady Lakers knocked off visiting Christian County 61-36 Friday night in Murray. The Lady Colonels drop their second-straight to stand at 2-5 overall with a week off until they meet Graves County in the FNB Holiday Bash at South Warren.
Adison Hicks scored 8 of her 10 points in the first quarter and Calloway were in control at 21-5. Serenity Shemwell scored 6 and Mikayah Killebrew added 5, but the Lady Colonels were still outscored 18-15 in the second quarter to trail 39-20 at the halftime break.
Christian County struggled find the basket in the second half as well, managing just 16 points after halftime, with Eniya McGee scoring 6 of her 8 in the third quarter. Skylar Waller and Elle Carson each scored 4 out of the locker room to help the Lady Lakers to their third-straight win.
Settle pulled down 15 rebounds to go with her 15 points, leading Calloway in both categories. Waller and Carson each scored 11 and Hicks finished with 10.
Shemwell’s 10 points led Christian County, followed by McGee with 8 and Killebrew with 7.
