Heritage Christian Academy is finding both the points and wins to come by at the Knights Christmas Classic at Lancaster Christian school in Smyrna, Tenn.
HCA dropped a 41-30 decision to FC Boyd in the tourney’s opening game. Teams are playing two halves instead of four quarters in the event. FC Boyd led 19-13 at halftime and outscored the Lady Warriors 22-17 in the second half.
Jenna Wiggleton knocked down four 3-pointers and finished with 12 points to lead the Lady Warriors. Meredith Crunk added five points. HCA’s comeback attempt was limited thanks to 2-of-10 shooting at the free throw line.
In the second game of the tournament, HCA could never get their offense in gear in losing to Valor Academy 16-13.
Logan Gibson led the Lady Warriors with seven points. The charity stripe was again the downfall of the Lady Warriors, who hit just 1-of-7 free throws.
HCA (2-11) will continue play in the tourney Saturday.
