Scoring Drought Dooms Lady Falcons in Loss to West Creek (w/PHOTOS)

A long scoring drought was too much for the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons to overcome Saturday afternoon. Fort Campbell went nearly 12 minutes at the beginning of the game without a point as they fell to West Creek 48-10 in the losers bracket of the Food Bank Holiday Classic at Russellville High School.

West Creek opened the game with a 13-0 run in the opening quarter. The lead would grow to 17-0 before Fort Campbell got on the board when Patricia Gregory connected on a three with 4:35 to go in the half. By the end of the half, the West Creek lead had grown to 26-4.

The Fort Campbell offensive struggles continued in the second half. The Lady Falcons could only manage a field goal in the third quarter, as West Creek moved the lead on out to 36-6.

West Creek then outscored the Lady Falcons 12-4 in the final quarter to get to the final 38 point margin.

Patricia Gregory was the top scorer for Fort Campbell with 5 points. Marissa Cole and Asia Cabili each had two points, while Arianna McDaniel finished with one.

West Creek was led by Alexis Parkes with 16 points. Aairreona Barley added 13 points.
