Trigg County took two of three games at the Russellville Food Bank Classic last weekend to improve to 6-2 on the season.  After Christmas, they will turn their attention to the Lady Warrior Classic at Community Christian.

The Lady Wildcats will play Ballard Memorial (5-4) Thursday in the opening game at 2pm.  They have one common opponent — Crittenden County.  Trigg beat the Lady Rockets 53-38 on Dec. 6 with Crittenden beating Ballard Memorial 71-65 the following day.

If Trigg County wins their opener, they will play Carlisle County (4-3) Thursday night at 8.  If Trigg loses their opener, they will play Friday at 5.  If they lose to Carlisle, they won’t play again until Saturday at noon.

It’s the third consecutive year for Trigg County to be in the CCA tourney field.  Trigg was 1-2 last year and 2-1 in 2017-18.

Other schools in the 10-team field are University Heights (3-4), Lyon County (3-6), Christian Fellowship (3-3), Community Christian (3-5), Lake County, Tenn. (4-2), Joppa-Maple Grove, Ill. (0-5), and Pope County, Ill. (6-4).
