
Louisville Central started the game with a 12-0 run and pressed its way to a 71-35 victory over Caldwell County’s girls.
The Lady Tigers, who played without point guard Jada Boyd, had difficulty solving the Central pressure, trailing 35-17 at halftime and 55-27 through three quarters.
Boyd, a senior point guard, is expected to return to the Caldwell lineup on Saturday.
Central (6-3) got 17 points from Ja’la Douglass, 12 from Amaya Asher and 10 from Taylor Price.
Bella McConnell was the only player to reach double figures for Caldwell (4-4), finishing with 14 points.
Douglass was named the game’s MVP for the Yellowjackets while McConnell was MVP for the Lady Tigers.
