
One day after a late 3-pointer bounced them into the consolation bracket, Lyon County used the 3-pointer to advance to the fifth place game of the Campbellsville Holiday Classic after an 87-52 win over Washington County Friday.
The Lyons knocked down 13 three-pointers in the game as five different players had two or more.
Lyon hit four trifectas in the first quarter as they rolled out to a 27-14 lead over the Commanders. Lyon increased their lead to 42-25 by halftime.
Travis Perry hit three 3-pointers and was a perfect 10-of-10 at the free throw line to finish with a game-high 27 points. Kade Blackburn hit a trio of threes to finish with 11 points, and Jackson Shoulders also scored 11 points.
Josh Burkhead led Washington County (1-9) with 10 points.
The Lyons (8-3) will play East Jessamine (7-3) Saturday at 3:45 in the fifth place game. East Jessamine beat Taylor County 60-44 Friday.
