Hoptown Defense on Display in OT Win Over Grayson

Hopkinsville held Grayson County scoreless in overtime to beat Grayson County 42-36 Sunday in the fifth place game at the First Southern National Bank/Roy’s BBQ Classic at Logan County.

Hoptown got off to a fast start, leading 12-3 after one quarter with four different Tigers finding the scoring column.

The Tigers had chances in the fourth quarter to put the game away but hit just 5-of-9 free throws.

Arthur McKnight scored four of his 11 points in the overtime period to help the Tigers to the victory.  McKnight also finished with six rebounds and three assists.

Don Victor added 10 points and six rebounds, and K.C. Cabiness scored 10 points.

Hopkinsville (6-6) will open the 2020 portion of their schedule Friday when they host Fort Campbell.
