In Clarksville, TN for the Zaxby’s Holiday Tournament, the Fort Campbell boys’ basketball team dropped its second outing in as many days and fourth-straight since beginning the season 5-1, falling 68-26 to Upperman, TN on Saturday.
The Falcons were held to just two baskets in the first quarter, with Isaiah Allen getting Upperman started with 7 points and an 18-4 advantage.
Fort Campbell didn’t fair much better in the second, while the Bees erupted for 31 points to put the game away in the first half. Collin Gore scored 8 of his team-high 12 in the second quarter for a 49-9 halftime lead.
The Bees put it on cruise control from there, but kept up the defensive pressure. The Falcons managed only 9 in the third and 8 in the fourth and didn’t break double digits in any quarter.
Fort Campbell will look to get back on track after the New Year with a trip to face 8th-District rival Hopkinsville.
