C.J. Henagan is part of an Embry-Riddle basketball program that is making waves in NCAA Division II.
The former Hopkinsville High standout has started in all 16 games for the Daytona Beach, Fla. school this year, averaging 5.3 points and 5.3 rebounds for the Eagles. The sophomore scored a season-high 15 points and pulled down seven rebounds in Embry-Riddle’s 105-80 win over Palm Beach Atlantic Dec. 14.
Last year, Henagan averaged 5.2 points a game, including a season-high 20 points against Nova Southeastern.
For the first time since joining Division II in 2014, Embry-Riddle entered the coaches’ poll at No. 2 this week. The Eagles are 11-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play.
Henagan is majoring in Aerospace Physiology.
