Former Christian County Lady Colonel Aaliyah Hampton continues to show out in her freshman season at Berea College.
Hampton was named USA South Rookie of the Week after averaged 28 points, four assists and three rebounds as the Mountaineers posted a 2-0 record last week.
In a 78-75 win over Asbury, Hampton totaled 28 points, four rebounds and four assists. In an 84-55 victory over USA South rival LaGrange, Hampton posted 28 points, four assists, two rebounds and one steal.
Hampton is averaging 22.6 points a game for Berea, who is off to a 12-2 start. She is hitting 50-percent from the field, including 50-percent from 3-point range. She is pulling down 3.2 rebounds and averaging 2.5 assist and 2.3 steals per game.
