
A third quarter scoring drought by Todd County Central proved to be the difference in a 55-42 district loss to Franklin-Simpson Friday in Elkton.
Only four players scored for Franklin-Simpson in the contest, but they managed to outscore the Rebels 16-4 in the third quarter in what proved to be the difference.
Todd led 16-12 after one quarter and took a 26-23 lead into intermission. But Preston Moore had Todd’s lone field goal in the third quarter.
Deonte Toliver led the Rebels with 15 points, and Austin Rager added 11.
Ky’Juan Stutzman had 22 points for Franklin-Simpson (8-6), who improved to 2-1 in district play.
Todd County Central (2-12) dropped to 0-2 in the district and will travel to Glasgow Saturday ahead of All-A Region play Monday.
