The Trigg County cheerleading squad finished first in their division Saturday at the Cheer Derby competition in Nashville. They earned a gold medal and championship jacket for finishing in first place.
Trigg also received a perfect score in school spirit and finished first out of 48 teams for the overall spirit award.
Team members are Alexis Casarez, Nytaya Medlin, Kelsey Colley, Mallory Finley, Abby Capps, Gracie Faust, Krizzy Groves, Alexa Taylor, Kendra McFarland, Lexie Oliver, Laurel Brown, Heidi Hite, Olivia Hargis, Paige Kelley, Bethany Turner, Jenna Visingardi, Maddie Sholar, Ellah Butts, and Chloe Johnson.
Coaches are Mindy Faust and Molly Oliver.
