Hoptown Swimmers Take Fourth at Abbreviated Best of the West

Hopkinsville finished fourth in the combined standings at the weather-shortened Best of the West Invitational Saturday at Bowling Green High School.

Hoptown finished fourth in women’s standings and seventh in the men’s standings, which included Friday’s diving competition.  The event was postponed after the 14^th of 24 events due to the powerful storms that rumbled through Bowling Green Saturday afternoon.

Swimmers who finished in the top 20 for Hoptown were:

GIRLS

Ella Falco – first in the 100 free (56.84); third in the 100 fly (1:04.62)

Ellie Colburn – sixth in the 100 free (1:01.78); eighth in the 50 free (27.95)

Lauren Langhi – ninth in the 50 free (28.11)

Riley Robinson – ninth in the 100 free (1:03.75)

Madyson Hallmark – 10^th in the 500 free (6:49.97); 12^th in the 200 free (2:30.39)

Addisyn Grise – 12^th in the 500 free (6:52.20); 20^th in the 50 free (31.18)

Megan Grace – 15^th in the 200 free (2:36.49)

Livie Jorgensen – 16^th in the 100 free (1:09.37)

Olivia Groom – 18^th in the 200 free (2:41.77)

Eliza Renshaw – 19^th in the 200 free (2:49.62); 19^th in the 100 fly (1:42.61)

The 200 Medley Relay team finished fourth in 2:07.93.
