Caldwell County’s wrestlers placed fourth out of 15 teams in the Commando Crush event in Hendersonsville, Tenn. on Saturday.
The Tiger matmen were the top Kentucky team in the event.
Clarksville High took team honors with 192.5 points. John Overton (Tenn.) was second at 164 and Memphis University School (Tenn.) third at 128.
Caldwell totaled 126.5 points while Lebanon (Tenn.) was fifth at 125.
Eight Tigers placed in the event, led by Riley Johnson, who claimed the individual championship at 113 pounds.
Johnson pinned his first two opponents then claimed a 13-2 decision in the championship match.
Collin Teutsch was second at 106 pounds.
Caldwell had three wrestlers place third — Cofy Harris at 120 pounds, Dylan Walls at 126 and John Paredes at 160.
In addition, Sam Teutsch was fourth at 182, Colin Walls fifth at 152 and Blaine Hicks sixth at 132.
The Tigers are scheduled to wrestle in a tri-match at Ohio County on Thursday.
They will be in tournament action again on Saturday at Calloway County.
