Hopkinsville's Reece Jesse set school records with 67 catches for 1,184 yards in 2019.
Hopkinsville receiver Reece Jesse and Madisonville running back Jeriah Hightower were both named to the 17th Annual All-Bluegrasspreps.com football team.
Jesse caught 67 passes for 1,184 yards in 2019 –both establishing new school records. He also had 15 touchdown receptions which was two shy of the school record.
The junior receiver has several Division I offers including Kentucky and Missouri. Jesse was named one of 12 athletes on the team.
Hightower, a senior, rushed for 3,001 yards and 33 touchdowns in helping Madisonville win their first region football title in 48 years and reach the state semifinals. He is one of eight running backs in state history to rush for 3,000 yards in a season. He has offers from several colleges and universities.
The only other western Kentucky players on the 36-player list were Bowling Green’s Vito Tisdale (DB) and Mayfield’s Kade Neely (athlete).
