
Down three starters and pitted against the free throw accuracy of Jackson Sivills, Christian County found the points tough to come by in a 65-32 loss Tuesday at McCracken County.
The Colonels led 2-0, and it was all Mustangs after that. McCracken led 17-7 after one quarter and 24-15 at halftime. The Mustangs put the game away with a 24-10 third quarter run.
Sivills, who has signed with Murray State, was a perfect 12-of-12 at the free throw line and finished with 25 points. Christian County was 3-of-3 at the line as a team, while McCracken was 22-of-24.
Kobe Dillard scored 11 points for Christian County, who hit five 3-pointers and seven shots inside the arc. Stephen Bussell added nine points.
Christian County has now dropped five straight games to McCracken County.
Christian County (6-10) will play at South Warren (10-6) Friday as they look to get back on the winning track.
