Caldwell County’s wrestlers split a pair of matches Thursday night at Ohio County.
The Tiger matmen handled Daviess County 54-15 but dropped a close match to the host school 40-37.
Against Daviess, Colin Walls (152 pounds), John Paredes (160), Cole Sherrill (195), Collin Teutsch (106) and Dylan Walls (126) all claimed wins by pin. Caldwell won four other matches by forfeit.
In the match with Ohio, Caldwell wrestlers winning by pin were Collin Teutsch, Colin Walls and Sherrill. Winning by decision for the Tigers were Riley Johnson (113), Dylan Walls and Paredes.
In the night’s other match, Ohio defeated Daviess 59-21.
Caldwell’s wrestlers will be in tournament action Saturday at Calloway County.
