The Todd County Central boys’ basketball team ensured a happy Homecoming with a 66-47 victory over visiting Friendship Christian, TN on Saturday.  The Rebels halt a fourteen-game losing run and pick up their first win since the opening week of the season.

Seniors Deonte Toliver and Dominique Morrow combined for 12 points and the Rebels led 17-11 after the first quarter.  Fellow senior Austin Rager led the way with 5 in the second quarter, and Todd County led 32-22 at halftime.

After a stalemate in the third quarter, Toliver scored 9 fourth-quarter points to lead a 20-11 Rebel surge that put the game away.  Rager matched his third-quarter output with 6 more points to cancel out 6 from Friendship Christian’s Andrew Mathis.

Todd County returns to its home floor on Tuesday when Russellville makes its way to Elkton.  Both the Rebels and the Panthers will be looking for their first 13th-District win of the season.
