Heritage Christian Academy used a 20-5 third quarter run to pick up a 59-44 win at KCAA foe Cornerstone Christian Academy Saturday in Shelbyville.
HCA led 16-15 after one quarter with the big second quarter run extending their lead to 36-20 at halftime.
Derek Wadlington continued his solid play of late with 15 points and 14 rebounds for the Warriors. Weston Powell added 11 points and nine rebounds, and Trenton Hayes had 12 points and four assists.
The win is Heritage’s first in nine KCAA games this year but their second in their past three games.
HCA returns to the court Tuesday at home against Bowling Green Christian.
